Girl Named 40 Weeks

I made it! 40 weeks! And no baby... I went to the dr yesterday and she scheduled me to be induced Tuesday night at 9pm. She then told me that is the last induction appointment for the week, and it's likely they will cancel and reschedule it. I was a little upset about it. Not because I have to wait until Tuesday, but because I didn't want to go in at night. I've experienced both ways - with Kylie I went in at 7pm (if your cervix is closed you have to go in at night to get Cervadil before they can induce) and I was awake all night, so by the time it was time to push at 2pm the next day, I was completely exhausted, and still didn't have her until 4:30. With Claire, I went in at 7am, and had her at 7pm, and was tired but it was SO much better after having a full nights sleep. So I was upset that I need Cervadil, and that I have to go in so late at night, and that it may be cancelled (I know, at this point I'm a big cranky whiner). I'm praying that she will just come on her own before then! I just had it in my head that because I was induced at 39 weeks with Claire, that I wouldn't go this long this time.

I've had a cold for about a week, so with that added, I'm even more cranky and miserable. But, last night I slept better than I have in weeks (maybe months!) I slept 4 hours on one side (usually I have to flip every hour because my hips hurt) then got up to use the bathroom, then slept 4 hours on the other side! It was amazing, I feel like a new woman today! So now I'm just waiting to see if she'll come on her own, and if not, I'll go in (hopefully) Tuesday night! I can't believe she's almost here, it seemed like this day would never come. I've had everything ready at home for a few weeks now, so there's nothing left to do but wait.

I will keep you updated and post pictures when she comes! Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers for a smooth delivery and healthy baby!

Girl Named 39 Weeks

All right, I'm getting to it this week much earlier! I went to the doctor Friday, and there was no change, so now I'm waiting. I go back this Friday and she will schedule my induction for either Sunday night or Monday morning. So one more week and she'll be here! I'm telling myself that it's another week to rest and relax and get ready before she gets here. Plus, as if being 39 weeks pregnant isn't enough, mother nature decided it would be perfect to give me a cold too. So I'm hoping I can rest enough this week to get over this cold before I deliver her!

Saturday the girls went to their first sleepover, so Pete and I went out for our last "date" before Chloe gets here. It was a nice surprise to get an unexpected night to ourselves! Thank you to our good friend for keeping our crazy kids that stayed up until midnight! :) Sunday it snowed/iced a lot, so the girls are both out of school today so I worked from home.

Both of my friends that were due within days of me have had their babies, so it's just me now! My good friend went in yesterday to be induced, and had her little guy last night. I'm so excited for her, he's SO cute! But that makes me even more ready to meet Chloe!

I think for this last post I'm not going to go through the bullet points I typically do. It's the same story - belly is big, baby is baby-sized, I am miserable, I don't do any activity.

I am hoping to have time to post once she is born! I will try to keep you updated as much as possible. I can't believe it's almost time!!

Girl Named 38 Weeks

Once again, I'm a little behind - it's Thursday and I'll be 39 weeks on Saturday. Oops! Nothing has happened yet, I go to the doctor tomorrow and she'll check me again. If my cervix has softened, she will schedule me to be induced within a couple days. If it hasn't softened, I will have to wait another week and the next Friday she'll schedule me to be induced (at 40 weeks). So either way, the end is in sight! But now that it's so close I'm kind of freaking out about having another baby, and having 3 kids! I know it's too late now, but I think every mom probably has a panic moment right before she has a baby. Our lives will be changing drastically (for the better) and it will be a big adjustment for all 4 of us.

I've been "part time" still at work, although I worked 35 hours last week (some from home though). There is so much to get done, and I'm so worried about when I'm gone! It's been nice though to have the flexibility to go home when I'm tired and work there. We spent all day Sunday getting the last minute stuff ready for Chloe - car seat, wall decal in her room, clothes washed, pump ready, bottles ready, etc. It was a lot of work! I feel better knowing everything is ready for her though.

Decal up with her name!

The Belly: Not much to say now, it's huge. Here is a picture - I was trying my best to muster a smile, but this was a particularly cranky day. ;)

38 Weeks
Food: I have more room now, but still not a ton. No cravings.

Baby: baby-sized

Feeling: Tired, can't sleep, uncomfortable, heartburn, want wine...

Activity: Fixing my hair. I apologize to everyone, it's just too much work right now. ;)

Girl Named 37 Weeks

I'm always so far behind on these posts, again, I'm almost 38 weeks now. Anyway, it's business as usual. My birthday was Saturday, so I took a 3 hour nap then went to dinner with my awesome friends. I couldn't eat much, but it was nice to get to see everyone! I've started "part time" at work, but it's Thursday and so far I've only taken off 2 hours this week. There's so much to get done before being gone! My last dr appt was Friday, and Chloe's heart rate was really high for a while, and my blood pressure was a little high, but no change other than that. I go back tomorrow, so we'll see what she says. I'm so ready to have her! A friend that was due 3 days after me, just had her baby today, and I'm so jealous! (Happy for her, but still jealous!) Everyone else has these babies that come on their own, a couple weeks early. I have babies that are so stubborn they have to be forced out. Ugh.

The Belly: It's huge. Most of my shirts are too short, it takes an act of God to turn over in bed at night, I don't fit in booths at restaurants...

Food: I've regained a little of my appetite (I'd lost two pounds last week at my appt because I couldn't eat!) so I can eat more than a couple bites of food. Not a lot more, but a little more. Everything gives me heartburn though.

Baby: She's officially the size of a swiss chard (okaaaay...) but I think it's safe to say she's the size of a baby now.

Feeling: Exhausted still. I just want to sleep. All. The. Time. I'm pretty comfortable as long as I'm not sitting, standing, or laying. I have a constant headache that I can't get rid of. Seriously, the only thing getting me through is the anticipation of kissing her baby head. I know it sounds weird, but for some reason I'm so excited to kiss her head!

Activity: Getting out of bed.

Girl Named 36 Weeks

So I'm a little late on this one, as I'm almost 37 weeks...but it's been a rough week! Tuesday I was feeling really bad, I thought I had a bug. I stayed home and could barely move! I was exhausted, achy, couldn't eat, it was horrible. I went to bed at 7:30 that night and slept for 12 hours. I felt a little better Wednesday, and today I'm better. I saw my doc and she said that with 2 kids to take care of, being older than I was last time I was pregnant, and working full time, my body is probably just getting tired. I go back tomorrow, but she said she's probably going to recommend I start working part time next week, and do that for the next 2 weeks, then hopefully deliver at 39 weeks. We will see what happens! I can't believe it's so close, I can't wait to kiss her little baby head!

The Belly: It's huge. I had a lady today point at my belly and say "Good luck with that". I almost punched her and said "good luck with that".

Food: I didn't eat anything except yogurt and applesauce for two days this week. Today I ate half a salad and was so miserable afterwards. I don't have ANY room for food. I can't wait to eat again!

Baby: She's the size of a crenshaw melon, whatever that is. It's huge.

Feeling: I think you can probably guess...horrible. If I could sleep longer than an hour at a time, I think I would feel better.

Activity: I walked across a parking lot today and thought I was going to die...so no.

Girl Named 34 Weeks

Well, I'm getting increasingly cranky! I feel bad for anyone that has to talk to me. I know I only have a few weeks left, but anyone who's been pregnant knows these are the WORST few weeks! I know I've done it twice before, but I was younger then and didn't have 2 kids to take care of! Anyway, I'm just a big whiner so just ignore me until this baby comes. ;) We went and bought more baby stuff that we need, so it's fun to buy stuff and get everything ready, and to finally get dad involved in this pregnancy! We even bought a "Baby Keurig" (Formula Pro) that is basically a Keurig - it mixes formula and water and makes a bottle at the perfect temperature in under a minute. It's a splurge, but we're pretty excited to use it! I also have an amazing friend that GAVE me her super nice Medela breast pump to use, so I'm going to give nursing the good college try again this time. I only made it 6 weeks with Kylie and 2 with Claire, so I'd like to make it longer this time since I have a good pump! Now that almost everything is ready though, I'm getting impatient for her to come. It dawned on me that on maternity leave I will be home with just ONE kid! Kylie and Claire will both be in school all day. It's going to be amazing! I can watch what I want on TV, there won't be arguing, fighting, talking back...it's going to be so nice with just a baby to cry when she's hungry, like a vacation! ;)

The Belly: Seriously. I didn't take a picture this week, but I feel like she gains a pound a week.

Food: I can't wait to eat again without being miserable. I'm never hungry, and when I do eat (even a small amount of food) I get so full that I'm miserable for hours. I do love powdered sugar donuts though...yikes!

Baby: She's the size of a cantaloupe. Maybe an African cantaloupe (which I have to assume is much bigger than a regular cantaloupe).

Feeling: Exhausted, uncomfortable, can't get comfortable to sleep, sore, no energy, headaches, Braxton Hicks...should I go on?

Activity: Putting socks and shoes on.

Girl Named 33 Weeks

So I've missed a few weeks...again. Christmas and New Years were really busy for me I guess! We are getting the nursery put together, I had a wonderful baby shower Saturday thanks to my Bertie Heather and all my awesome friends! I've gotten all Chloe's clothes washed and put away, and her room is pretty much ready to go! I can't believe I have less than 7 weeks left, it's really starting to get real! I can't wait for her to get here and meet her!

The Belly: Well, it's huge, there's not much else to say! It is sore every day (I guess ligaments stretching) and heavy to carry around. Here is a picture for reference:
33 Weeks
Food: The room in my stomach is getting smaller and smaller, so I've been eating small meals every couple hours. I just can't hold very much, and I'm NEVER hungry!

Baby: She's the size of a pineapple! She feels more like a bowling ball... She is still not very active, only a few times a day, but my dr. assured me that maybe she's just a calm sleepy baby, and there's nothing to worry about. I guess compared to Claire, any baby would be calm! ;) She seems to respond to Claire, but that could be because Claire is so loud!

Feeling: I'm feeling pretty good, other than being tired and my back hurts constantly, and I hate walking (or waddling in my case) or standing.

Activity: I really don't know why I include this category anymore.

Girl Named 28 Weeks

Almost to the 3rd trimester! I can't believe Christmas is next week, this month has flown by! We are moving our offices, so tomorrow I will be going to the new office for the first time. I'm excited to have a nice new office, that's bigger, and has a window, but they are in the middle of nowhere, so I'm not excited about having to drive to get lunch! This week is crazy, and I'm on vacation starting Friday all through next week, so I'm super excited about that!

The Belly: Still getting exponentially bigger, I am concerned about how big it's going to get!

Food: Still can't hold much and I get full really quickly.

Baby: She's the size of a large eggplant! She doesn't move as much as Claire did, I really hope that's a good sign that she's a calm and laid back baby!

Feeling: I have felt pretty good the past few days, other than still being so tired (which I know isn't going away for a long time!) Yesterday I felt better than I've felt in weeks, so that was a nice break.

Activity: Putting on socks and shoes.

Girl Named 27 Weeks

Things have been crazy with Thanksgiving and Black Friday (I had to work midnight to 3am, and the store was crazy!), we've been pretty busy! We put up Christmas decorations, we organized the girls room and unbunked the beds (which I like for ease of access, but it does take up a lot of extra room), then we had a huge snowstorm on Friday so we didn't leave our house for 3 days! I was so happy to "break free" today, although Kylie's school was cancelled again today, so dad kept her. I haven't even started to shop for Christmas (last minute anyone?) and I haven't sent Christmas cards yet. I'm training a girl at work to take over for me while I'm on maternity leave, and trying to get as much done before I leave as I can. We are also moving offices in the next couple weeks, plus I'm taking the week of Christmas off. So much to do!

I can't believe she will be here in less than 12 weeks! We got the crib put back together, and her room is SEMI organized...we still can't decide if we're going to use the owls or use Claire's jungle animals (but then we'd have to paint). At least we have a few weeks left to get it figured out, but this is way too last minute for me. I guess with your 3rd you're not as quick with things as you are with your first!

The Belly: It's officially big, and uncomfortable. After working all day putting up decorations and organizing the girls room, I was up half the night with contractions so bad I couldn't get comfortable, then my belly was sore for 2 days afterwards! I think I overdid it, and I definitely learned my lesson, that was horrible.

Food: I haven't had much of an appetite, I get full very quickly and stay full for a long time. I guess that's good for the weight gain though!

Baby: She's the size of a head of cauliflower! She's getting big, and I definitely feel her move a lot. She especially moves when Claire is around, I think she really likes her!

Feeling: Just exhausted and tired. My body gets tired easily and I have no energy. I can sleep for 10 hours at night and wake up tired! Only 12 weeks to go...

Activity: Ha! See comment above about overdoing it. No thanks.

Girl Named 18 Weeks

We had a very quiet and relaxing weekend! Saturday it stormed all day, so Kylie's soccer game was cancelled and so was Pete's softball tournament. We stayed inside all day and did nothing, and it was fabulous! Kylie decided it was Otter's (her favorite stuffed animal) birthday, so we took him to Mexican Villa for dinner, then had cupcakes on Sunday for him. It was a really good weekend, but it went too fast, as always.

I didn't have to get a cast (thank goodness), and I declared myself done with the crutches on Friday (I was supposed to use them until tomorrow) because I was SO tired of them. Now it's just the boot, and my foot hurts by the evening every day from walking so much, but I'm sure that will get better. I'm just happy to have my hands back!

The Belly: Getting bigger, and more noticeably pregnant. Pete was amazed when he saw me with my shirt off, even though he's seen this happen twice before!

Food: I'm getting better and being able to pick things to eat, and I was constantly starving last week, which is awesome. Hopefully I didn't make TOO many bad choices...

Baby: Baby is the size of a bell pepper! I'm excited (and nervous) to have the "big" ultrasound here in a couple weeks!

Feeling: I had more energy this week, this is the first weekend since I've been pregnant that I didn't take a nap either day, by choice! I did sleep until 9am both days though... I haven't been sick, and I haven't had any aches and pains yet, so I'm enjoying it right now!

Activity: Boot = no activity. I'm thinking of going to the gym and swimming or doing the bike though this week, just to do something.

Girl Named 14 Weeks

Another week already?! This week was CRAZY, and I'm glad it's over. On Tuesday I went for a run, and I got off the road to let two cars pass, stepped on a rock, and fractured my foot. I had to go to Memphis Wednesday and Thursday for a meeting, so by the time I got back on Friday I had to go to the dr because I couldn't walk on it or sleep! Now I'm wearing a boot for 4-6 weeks, which is awesome. Being pregnant and having a broken foot is the best. On top of that, I went to my OB appointment Friday, and I have a UTI, so I'm on antibiotics for that, and I HATE antibiotics. I hate the side effects, and I don't want to take them. So this weekend I was a miserable person!

The baby's heartbeat was still 180, which seems super fast to me! I don't remember the girls' heartbeats ever being that fast, so I don't know what to think! 10 days until we find out if it's a girl or a boy!

The Belly: I'd say it's roughly the same size this week, although I'm starting to feel less bloated, which is good!

Food: Still on a Mexican kick - nachos, chips, queso, tacos... anything salty!

Baby: The size of a lemon now!

Feeling: Well, up until I broke my foot and started antibiotics, I was actually feeling a lot better! I'm hoping once I finish the meds I will get back to "normal".

Activity: Well...I tried to run once, and that didn't work out so well. So now, NO activity for at least 4 weeks, but once the dr clears me he said I can do swimming, water aerobics, and other low impact activities.
